Dimitra Stefanatou is a Senior Legal Counsel at the law firm Arthur’s Legal (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). Dimitra obtained a law degree from Democritus University of Thrace, (Greece, 2004) and a Master 2 in Communication Law from University Paris II-Assas, in (France, 2007). Dimitra has been a member of Athens’ Bar Association (2006-present) and she has worked as an associate at the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute involved in research in media law (2009-2011).
For the period 2012-2016, Dimitra worked as a legal researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Law and Technology at KU Leuven (Belgium) and at Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT, Tilburg University, the Netherlands) involved in EU research projects addressing – among other – data protection considerations in the context of new technologies.
Currently, Dimitra is involved in EU funded research on internet of things and is a member of a specialist tasks on privacy and security matters in the internet of things environment funded by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
