Dimitra obtained a law degree from Democritus University of Thrace, (Greece, 2004) and a Master 2 in Communication Law from University Paris II-Assas, in (France, 2007). Dimitra has been a member of Athens’ Bar Association (2006-present) and she has worked as an associate at the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute involved in research in media law (2009-2011).

For the period 2012-2016, Dimitra worked as a legal researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Law and Technology at KU Leuven (Belgium) and at Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT, Tilburg University, the Netherlands) involved in EU research projects addressing – among other – data protection considerations in the context of new technologies.

Mihalis is a legal expert in the fields of EU decision-making, legal backcasting, food/environmental law, the responsible governance of science and innovation and the regulatory control of new and emerging risks. He has worked as a Research Programme Manager for the Ethics Review Service of the European Commission, as a Senior Associate in the EU Regulatory and Environment Affairs Department of White and Case (Brussels office) and as a Lecturer at several UK Universities and a Lecturer/Project Leader at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). He also taught EU Law and Institutions for several years at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

He holds a Bachelor in Law (Athens Law School), Master degrees in European and
International Environmental Law and Environmental Management (University of Athens and EAEME respectively) and a PhD in European Risk Regulation (London School of Economics-LSE). In 2008 he won the UACES Prize for the Best Thesis in European Studies in Europe.

He holds a University Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a double Master Degree in Local Development from the University of Blaise-Pascal and the Engineering School of the University of Thessaly and a PhD in Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence from the University of Macedonia. His research and innovation projects deal with Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence applied in Human-Machine Collaboration and more precisely in the Human-Robot Collaboration for the Industry 4.0, the Biomedical Engineering and the Creative and Cultural Industries. He is involved in a number of European projects and he has strong collaboration with startups and industrial groups, such as PSA, CRF, SAGEM and a number of Creative and Cultural Industries. His research focuses on movement-based human-machine collaboration and Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence in general. He leads the Post-Master’s Degree AIMove – “Artificial Intelligence and Movement in Industries and Creation”, which is supported by European academic and professional leaders of the field. Moreover, he is the President of the GAIIA Association (Gesture & AI in Industry and Arts) and the Head of IT researchers group at the ElonTech Observatory in law and new technologies.
